Pura Vida Morocco Dry Well

July-2015: Pura Vida Energy announced in July 2015 that its MZ-1 exploration well drilled offshore Morocco was dry in the Cenomanian and Aptian intervals (no oil shows encountered). It is now expected to deepen the well to its primary target in the Jurassic formation.

Africa Oil Kenya Appraisal Well Test Success

July-2015: Africa Oil released its Kenya operations update, and confirmed that its Amosing-1 & Amosing-2 wells appraisal wells (onshore Kenya) tested at 5600bbl/d and 6000bbl/d oil respectively in 2015. The company will now progress with water injection and Ngami field (onshore Kenya) appraisal extended well tests in Aug-2015.

Lekoil Otakikpo Field First Oil Delayed to Q3 2015

July-2015: Lekoil delayed the projected date of first oil from the Otakikpo field (OML-11 onshore Nigeria) to Q3 2015, after drilling rig crown block safety and road access issues.

Eni Nigeria Asset Divestment Plan

July-2015: Eni announced plans to sell its onshore Nigeria assets in July 2015, which could raise US$2-5billion.

Total Angola Dalia Phase 1A Achieved First Oil

July-2015: Total achieved first oil from Dalia Phase 1A, a new development on its deep offshore operated Block 17 (offshore Angola) in July 2015. Dalia Phase 1A will add 30000 barrels of oil per day and 51MMSTB oil reserves to the block’s production. The Dalia FPSO vessel came online in 2006 and achieved 2 billion barrels of cumulative oil production in May 2015.

Sasol Mozambique PSA Expansion Contract Tender

July-2015: Sasol Petroleum launched the tender process for an EPC (engineering, procurement and construction) management contract for the PSA Expansion project (onshore Mozambique).
