Oil Field Reservoir Optimisation Project

PIC_018_Resevoir_Management_Plan_CompanyC

  • Project was completed for an offshore oil field with Cretaceous sandstone reservoirs.
  • Compared production rates with budget and proposed operating efficiency improvements.
  • Developed well utility review documents for all production and water injection wells.
  • Created reservoir management plan documentation.
  • Completed SWOT analysis and evaluated production history by well.
  • Completed formation pressure and field connectivity assessments
  • Used RFT pressures, liquid rates, GOR and water cut to deduce weak aquifer, and concluded that water injection was the dominant reservoir drive mechanism.
  • Evaluated impact of geology on reservoir and well performance.
  • Evaluated BHP and THP pressures for well performance, tubing restriction, etc.
  • Completed reservoir voidage analysis and optimised water injection rates.
  • Constructed Saphir well test models and estimated skin and permeability thickness variations over time.
  • Monitored sand production trends, and preserved well integrity and oil production.
  • Stewarded water injection trials to evaluate connectivity with producers.
  • Evaluated impact of water injection on reservoir and well performance.
  • Used RFT pressures and water chemistry to deduce water source.
  • Secured endorsement of a new production service pipeline and a new methanol umbilical, and preserved 18 MMUSD NPV.
